Transforming a bedroom: the right colors and textiles for more comfort

I’m excited to share one of my latest projects where I completely transformed a bedroom. With specific changes – such as the new wallpaper, a fresh wall color, custom-made curtains and cushions as well as a new bedside table and bedspread – I was able to give this room a completely new atmosphere.

A bedroom should be a place of rest and relaxation, and that was my aim with this project. The wall color “Ammonite” from Farrow & Ball was carefully selected to create a calming and timeless atmosphere. This soft, gray shade provides a pleasant softness to the room without making it look too gloomy. Together with the new wallpaper with subtle stripes, the result is a harmonious overall picture that radiates calm and elegance.

Curtains, cushions, bedside table and bedspread - tailored details for the perfect look

Textiles and furniture play a crucial role in the design of a bedroom. In this project, I not only chose new curtains with striped patterns, but also had custom cushions made that have a different pattern but are in the same colors to blend harmoniously with the other elements of the room. The cushions and curtains match perfectly and help to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

Another highlight of the project was the new bedside table and lamp, which add both functionality and stylish accents to the room. The bedside table blends harmoniously into the overall look of the room and complements the design in a very elegant way. The new lamp not only provides sufficient light, but is also a real eye-catcher that brightens up the room and makes it cozier.

A new bedspread has also been added, giving the bed an inviting and comfortable appearance. The bedspread fits seamlessly with the other elements and completes the design of the bedroom.

How I can help as an interior design consultant

As an interior design consultant, I help my clients find the perfect colors, furniture and textiles to make their rooms functional and cozy at the same time. For this project, it was particularly important to me to create a bedroom that was both visually appealing and a place to relax. The combination of wall paint, wallpaper, bespoke textiles, furniture and lamps creates a harmonious, calming overall look.
